"The One That Works" Air Purifier FAQ
How often should I change the carbon in my “The One That Works” Air Purifier?
We recommend changing the carbon every 4 or 6 months to ensure optimal performance. If you have 3 nail technicians or under, and are not operating more than 8 hours a day, then you will need to change the carbon around every 6 months. If you have 3 or more nail tech’s and operate more than 8 hours a day, then we recommend you replace the carbon every 4 months.
Does the purifier take up a lot of space?
No, it is only 15” tall and has a 16.5” diameter. It is also very easy to move around with the 3-wheel mobile cart available.
How economical is the machine?
Very. The High Speed uses 135 Watts, and the Low Speed uses 90 Watts.
Where should the air purifier be placed?
The Salon chemical vapors are heavier than air and tend to migrate towards the floor. That is why the purifier should be placed on the floor, in the center of the Salon. Or, up against the wall towards the center of the Salon. Do NOT place the purifier in the corner of the room.
Does it really work?
YES! “The One That Works” is the only air purifier designed specifically for nail salons. Our consultation will result in a recommendation for the appropriate model for your salon. When your customers walk into your salon there will be no appreciable difference between the fresh air outside and the fresh air inside your salon.
Are there expensive filters to buy and replace?
No, the outside dust filer is machine washable. Wash the dust filter approximately every 2 weeks or once per month. There are no filters or cartridges inside the unit to replace. Simply change the Activated Carbon at every 4 or 6 months (approximately 43 cents per day).
Is the purifier noisy?
The purifier has two speeds. The Low speed is very quiet, and is the standard setting. The High speed is louder and used for emergencies such as chemical spills and is used to clean the air quickly. On high speed the machine sounds like an average residential fan.
Is the purifier easy to install?
YES! In fact, it is simple, and there is no installation required. Simply take it out of the box, removing the shipping brace, plug it in the electrical outlet and it is ready to use!
Does it create cool airflow patterns?
No. The unique “fountain airflow” sends the clean air towards the ceiling, and will not change the temperature of the salon air.
Will one unit purify all the air in the salon?
By determining the appropriate model for your salon, usually one unit is all that is required. For large salons with high ceilings and high levels of pollution, more than one unit may be required to maintain fresh air throughout the salon. Call us today for your free consultation 1-800-288-2023.
What are additional control measures that are available to maintain fresh air quality?
We also offer source capture ventilation units which capture salon dusts and chemicals vapors at the technicians breathing zone. In addition, we have special filters for your HVAC system which remove salon dusts and chemical vapors from salon’s HVAC systems.
