The Chemical Source Capture System improves the safety of many types of salon services, including: Brazilian Keratin Treaments, coloring & perming treatments.

Salon Equipment for Fume Extraction Keratin treatments for smoothing and straightening hair often utilize either formaldehyde or glutaraldehye as the workhorse ingredient and both are potentially harmful if safe limits are exceeded for prolonged periods. When used properly, the Chemical Source Capture System can help reduce exposure to safe levels.

Replacement Filter Program for the Chemical Source Capture System (Senior & Junior Units)

Replace Chemical Source Capture System filters in this order:

1. Final Filter—Goes in first, on bottom, green side facing down.

2. Adsorption Module with fresh replacement of Activated Carbon—Goes in second, in the middle, between the final filter & pre filter.

3. Pre Filter—Goes in last, on top of the Primary Filter, arrow pointing down.

Our salon, Salon 5200 in Hilton Head Island, SC started using your Aerovex System last week and what a difference! We were concerned about the environment in our salon because one of our staff is going to have a baby. In July of 2010, my partner and I opened Inspirations Hair Salon on the East coast where the humidity in the spring and summer is unbearable. I have been offering the BKT service for almost 3 years. My clients and I loved the results, but I was very concerned with the fumes. In researching safer products and/or methods, I came across Aerovex Systems and was very interested. I would never perform a Keratin Smoothing Treatment without the Chemical Source Capture System. I am confident that my clients are being protected from any harmful vapors or fumes that are being given off when performing keratin based treatments with high heat. Prior to having the system, I was well aware that the formaldehyde content was high. My clients still wanted the treatment so they had to suffer through burning eyes and itchy throats. I was ready to give up performing the treatments altogether. I have had the system in my salon since September 2010 and have had many referrals due to the fact that I have the Chemical Source Capture System in place.
